A: Yes. Since the generation, transmission and distribution of your power is still provided by your current local wires company, you get the same level of reliability. The only thing that changes is the amount of money you save, your bill, and the customer service you receive. The same local wires company you use today will maintain the poles, wires, meters and electricity to your home regardless which Retail Electric Provider (REP) you select.
A: Because your current local wires company is still responsible for the maintenance and repair of the poles and wires, you will call them in the event of an emergency or outage. Their numbers are provided below, and on your bill.

A: No. Your current local wires company will continue to deliver your electricity exactly as it does today, with the same power lines, service trucks and support you get now. The only difference will be your bill and your savings.
A: No. You will use the same power lines you use today. With Simple Power, you have:
- No new power lines
- No new meters
- Same meter readings
- Same repair service
- Same repair number
- Same emergency contact number
A: The electricity industry is regulated by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT). If your REP leaves the market for any reason, this commission regulates that your service will automatically be transferred to the Provider of the Last Resort (POLR) with no loss of service. Notification of any such change is automatically generated and forwarded to the customer.
A: It's easy to transfer your Simple Power account to a new address, without any interruption in service. Your fastest option is to transfer online. Or you can reach us by phone at 888 TX Simple (1-888-897-4675). We'll take it from there. You don't have to contact your current provider or anything else. We will do all the work for you, from canceling your old service to setting up billing.
