MIDLAND, Texas, April 4, 2008 — Simple Power, a Texas retail electric provider that gives customers a smart alternative to their current electricity service, announced today Brandon Brunson is the new director of community relations for the Midland-Odessa area. In his role, Brunson will lead the Midland-Odessa office community relations department by developing programs that promote good will and foster relationships with community leaders.

Brunson has a combined eighteen years of managing, community relations, sales and marketing and energy industry experience. Prior to Simple Power, Brunson worked for PriCara, a unit of Ortho-McNeil, where he was responsible for regional sales. He also worked in the energy industry where he served as a manager for EOTT Energy.
Brunson and his wife grew up in Midland and both graduated from Lee High School. These long-time residents are active members of the community. Brunson holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Lubbock Christian University.
Simple Power is looking to hire as many as 20 new employees in central Texas during the 2008-09 fiscal year in supportive, administrative and sales positions.
